CONTENT, PUBLICATION AND COMMUNICATION POLICY

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all content produced, published, and shared by the Young Volunteers Association is created with an ethical, reliable, rights-based, and responsible communication approach; and to establish content production and sharing standards.

2. Scope

This policy covers all communication activities including:

  • Website content
  • Social media posts
  • Visual and video materials
  • Press and media communication
  • Content produced by volunteers
  • Project outputs and publications

3. Core Principles

3.1. Respect for Human Rights
  • Content complies with human rights
  • Content complies with children's rights
  • Content complies with international conventions
3.2. Non-Discrimination
  • No discrimination based on religion, language, or race
  • No discrimination based on gender or identity
  • No discrimination based on disability
  • No discrimination based on socioeconomic status
3.3. Prohibition of Violence and Hate Content
  • Content that promotes violence is prohibited
  • Hate speech is strictly forbidden
  • Stigmatizing language is not used
3.4. Child Protection Sensitivity
  • No visuals of children are shared without permission
  • Children's personal information is protected
  • No content endangers children
3.5. Accuracy and Reliability
  • No misleading, incomplete, or false information is shared
  • Content from unverified sources is not published
  • No information manipulation is performed
3.6. Political Neutrality
  • No content is produced in favor of any political party, candidate, or ideology
  • The Association maintains neutrality

4. Content Production Standards

  • Content is prepared in a clear, understandable, and respectful language
  • A rights-based approach is followed
  • Disadvantaged groups are not stigmatized
  • Visuals are selected according to ethical standards

5. Social Media Guidelines

  • Act with awareness that they represent the Association
  • Avoid controversial and risky content
  • Do not use hate speech or polarizing language
  • Follow principles of accuracy and responsibility in sharing

6. Visual and Video Usage

  • No visuals are shared without permission
  • Content involving children is handled with special care
  • No manipulative or misleading visuals are used

7. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

  • Usage rights of produced content belong to the Association
  • Third-party content cannot be used without permission
  • Copyrights are respected

8. Prohibited Content

  • Discriminatory and hate content

  • Misleading or manipulative information

9. Approval and Review Process

  • Content undergoes editorial review when necessary

13. Enforcement

This policy enters into force upon approval by the Board of Directors of the Young Volunteers Association.
