OUR VOLUNTEERING AND PARTICIPATION MODEL

Volunteering at the Young Volunteers Association is not just a participation process, but also a model for creating, taking responsibility, and generating value together. Our activities are carried out in a planned, project-based, and participatory manner. Therefore, we expect not only good intentions from our volunteers but also adherence to processes and a sense of responsibility.

Project-Based Volunteering Approach

Volunteering processes at our association progress through projects that are carried out according to a specific plan and schedule.

Each project has:

  • Start and end dates
  • Activity plan
  • Participation requirements

determined in advance. Volunteers participate in the process considering the structure and requirements of the projects they join.

Participation and Eligibility

Volunteers can;

  • Apply to existing projects
  • Choose activities suitable to their interests
  • Select projects that fit their own time and resources

It is important for each volunteer to comply with the schedule and requirements of the project they participate in.

Travel and Project Conditions

Some of our projects:

  • May take place outside the city or internationally
  • May require travel and intensive participation

For these activities, volunteers are expected to:

  • Have no travel restrictions
  • Participate actively throughout the project

Provided Benefits

Depending on the type of project;

  • Accommodation
  • Meals
  • Transportation and transfers

expenses may be covered. These benefits may vary for each project and are clearly shared during the application process.

Volunteer Responsibility and Time Discipline

Volunteering is a free participation process; however, it is essential to fulfill the responsibilities taken on.

  • Volunteers must be present on time for the activities they are assigned to
  • Arriving significantly late affects teamwork and the quality of activities
  • Such situations are considered a breach of responsibility

Repeated instances may result in reevaluation of the volunteer’s assignment.

Who Can Participate?

The Young Volunteers Association is an inclusive structure where individuals from different age groups can collaborate.

  • There is no specific age limit to join the association
  • A 16-year-old young person or a 60-year-old individual can contribute

The important factor is not age, but the willingness to contribute and take responsibility.

Individual and Group Participation

Volunteers can;

  • Apply individually
  • Participate with friends
  • Join as school clubs or youth groups

The association supports both individual participation and teamwork.

Volunteers with Ideas

The Young Volunteers Association is not only a structure that participates in existing projects. It also supports volunteers who:

👉 Generate new ideas
👉 Develop projects
👉 Think in a solution-oriented way

Individuals or groups can submit their project ideas for children and youth, and projects deemed suitable can be implemented under the association’s framework.

Safety When Working with Children

Additional safety measures are applied for volunteers in activities involving children. In this context:

  • Criminal record may be requested
  • References may be required
  • A preliminary assessment process may be conducted

These measures are implemented to ensure the safety of children.

Family Participation and Support Approach

Our association communicates not only with young people but also with their families. Parents sometimes request support regarding their children’s:

  • Difficulty in participating in social environments
  • Inability to express themselves
  • Anti-social behaviors

In this context:

  • Activities that support children’s social development
  • Involvement of families in the process
  • Creation of safe and participatory environments

are carried out.

Our Collaborative Production Approach

Volunteering at the Young Volunteers Association means;

👉 Creating together
👉 Learning together
👉 Taking responsibility together

It embodies collaborative action and shared learning.
